It's very quiet around here on Friday night. Jacob is on his first ever overnight -- and its a biggie. An overnight trip to Okayama prefecture with 30 other first to fifth graders from his Japanese soccer club. Combining the first away-from-home experience with going away for two days with a group of kids who mostly don't speak English ensures quite the experience. But there is one coach who speaks excellent English and always helps Jacob out with understanding. And he does play soccer with these kids twice a week. He was VERY excited to go. As parents, we miss him and are excited for him in equal parts. And can't wait to see him when they return on Saturday night!
