Well that was strange timing. Strange times weather wise world-wide, it seems.

Today, a powerful earthquake (around 7 on the Richter Scale) hit Northeast Japan. (Very far from where we live, but apparently it could be felt a bit as in Tokyo.)

Of course, earthquakes are not strange events for Japan. Here is a link to the Japan Meteorological Agency website, where you can see information on the many earthquakes - most quite small - that hit Japan just about every day.

But this was a sizable one. Hopefully the damage is minor.
